Delmarva Central Railroad Recognized for Third Time by Delaware State Chamber of Commerce
Delmarva Central Railroad (DCR) has once again been recognized by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, receiving a 2026 Award of Excellence as part of the Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards program. This marks the railroad's third recognition through the program, following previous Awards of Excellence in 2021 and 2022.
DCR was selected for the 2026 Award of Excellence in the 11–40 employee category, recognizing its continued commitment to operational excellence, strong business practices, and service to the communities and industries of the Delmarva Peninsula.
The annual Superstars in Business program honors Delaware businesses and nonprofit organizations that demonstrate exceptional achievement, leadership, and a commitment to their communities. Established in 1998, the awards celebrate the legacy of Marvin S. Gilman, a Delaware business leader known for his integrity, innovation, and dedication to small business success.
A History of Recognition
Delmarva Central Railroad's 2026 award continues a history of recognition by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. DCR previously received an Award of Excellence in 2021 in the 21–60 employee category and again in 2022 in the 21–50 employee category. These repeated honors reflect the railroad's sustained commitment to business excellence and its important role in Delaware's economy.

The 2026 honorees were recognized during the 28th Annual Superstars in Business Awards Luncheon, held October 29, 2026, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware.
